Tia holds a B.S. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Western Michigan University, with a minor in Spanish. She has been passionate about working with children from a young age and brings a diverse background in education and behavioral support to her role as an SLP-Assistant. Before entering the field of speech pathology, Tia worked as a student teacher in kindergarten classrooms and as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at an ABA clinic. She has experience providing early intervention services and supporting children with a wide range of communication needs, including those with significant behavioral challenges.
 

Tia also has a deep passion for the Spanish language and culture. She has studied Spanish in both Mexico and Spain, taught English in Mexico, and has developed a strong understanding of the various Spanish dialects spoken throughout Latin America. Her bilingual background allows her to connect meaningfully with Spanish-speaking families and better support children from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
 

Originally from Indianapolis, Tia enjoys staying active with yoga, hiking and soaking up the sun at the beach. She also loves discovering new cultures through international travels with her boyfriend as well as exploring the Charlotte area with friends. At home, she is a proud cat mom to her cat baby, Iris!
