Kirstie Pate
COTA
Kirstie Pate earned her degree to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from Cabarrus College in 2020. Before pursuing her career in OT, she graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Nutrition Science. She has experience working with children of various ages and diagnoses including but not limited to Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and Auditory Processing Disorder. Play is her favorite occupation.
Kirstie enjoys working closely with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative and holistic approach to care. She believes in empowering and advocating for families to provide the support they need to improve their child’s development and be successful in everyday life. She loves seeing a smile on a child’s face when they learn something new.
Kirstie is married to her wonderful husband, and they have 1 son and 2 dogs. When Kirstie isn’t in the clinic, you can find her spending time with family and friends. She loves going on family vacations, being on the lake, and watching Wolfpack sports. This fall, she is continuing her education with pursuing her Master’s degree to become an Occupational Therapist.
