Hannah Youker
COTA
Hannah graduated from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree and also holds an Associate in Arts degree. Her passion for working with children stems from growing up in a large family with four brothers and three sisters. Coming from a big family taught her to appreciate different personalities and perspectives, take on responsibility, and embrace teamwork.
Hannah’s love for Occupational Therapy began with her pawpaw, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, and deepened when her little siblings were later diagnosed with autism. This fueled her passion for helping others understand that a disability does not define a child. She believes that by shaping and modifying the environment around them, caregivers can support a child’s occupational performance and foster greater independence in life.
She is continually expanding her knowledge in the field, particularly in feeding therapy, having completed the AEIOU Feeding Course.
Hannah loves meeting incredible children and parents who will help shape her into a better practitioner every day.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, reading, exploring new places, playing pickleball, loving Jesus, and exercising. She shares her home with her husband, two cats and a dog.
